MankQuest
Magic Items
Version 1.55
Spell Books:Use: spend EXP during down time to learn the spell contained within.
Equip: requires Basic Arcana. if the book contains an unknown spell, you may cast the basic version of this spell. If the book contains a known spell, you may also cast the adept version of this spell. If you have the adept Arcana ability, you may cast the master version of the spell. If the spell is known to you and you have the master Arcana ability, the book isn't doing you any favors by having it equipped. Hand it off to an apprentice or sell it.
Spell Scrolls: function in much the same way as spell books, but they turn to dust after one use. When a scroll is used to cast an unknown spell or enhance a known spell, the user doesn't spend any MP. Since scrolls are single use, there is no need to equip them to use them.
Magic Wands: function the same as spell books when equipped, but may not be used to learn new spells.
Magic Staves: Think of a magic staff as 2 wands, stuck together. A staff may hold 2 spells as it takes up main and offhand slots when equipped.

Resistance bonuses from runed equipment worn over top of tattooed body parts do not stack.
